The EHF Foster Project aims to improve cooperation between the EHF, emerging handball nations and developed handball federations across Europe. It was originally launched in 2007.
Each developed handball federation is encouraged to adopt an emerging handball federation, which will then be supported by the developed nation and the EHF based on a mutual agreement for a set period of time.
The project can include mutual education programmes, the participation of emerging nations teams in competitions, the exchange of information, publications and materials, and support for coaches and managers.
More details on the project can be found in the detailed project desription.
