EHF Grassroots Convention 2026

The second EHF Grassroots Convention, organised by the EHF, is to be held in Malmö Arena Hotel on 22 and 23 January 2026. The one-and-a-half-day programme includes a networking event on the first evening. The EHF Grassroots Convention, which comes two years after the inaugural edition in 2024, will once again run alongside the European Championship.

The event, which will bring together people from all over Europe to talk all about the latest developments, initiatives and innovations around grassroots sports, will be held on the fringes of the Men's EHF EURO 2026 in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. All the presentations, keynotes and panels at the two-day event in the Swedish city of Malmö will fall under the following topics:

• grassroots
• mental health 
• injury prevention 
• women's leadership
• youth academies

REGISTRATION COMING SOON

Registration will open at the beginning of September 2025, when you will be able to choose from a variety of packages. Further details will be announced shortly. 

PROGRAMME

More than 20 renowned speakers, including both handball experts and specialists from other sports, will enrich the event, providing invaluable insights and presenting best practice cases to all the participants, as well as giving opportunities for discussions and networking. 

Activities will be divided between two meeting rooms. The keynotes and panels will be held in the main room, while the subsequent breakout sessions will run in parallel in two rooms. The EHF Grassroots Convention will open doors on Thursday morning, 22 January, and will close at 12:00 CET on Friday 23 January.
