Thomas Schöneich, EHF Director Media and Communications, said: “The EHF has been investing into dedicated personnel to be present at the youth competitions, from social media specialists to journalists and content creators. It is rewarding to see that these efforts pay off in visibility. For the digital coverage of our national team competition, this is a momentum we want to seize as we are preparing the coverage of the Women’s EHF EURO 2026 in December.”
Ten days after the under-20 tournament, the Men’s 18 EHF EURO took place in Serbia from 29 July to 9 August and was won bv Germany.
The tournament coverage reached at 8.5million video views with Instagram alone reaching 3.7 million (with 136 content pieces) and again leading the statistics for engagement, delivering 350 interactions and 13 million impressions. The numbers underline a strong interest for youth handball on the EHF EURO channel across different age group competitions.
On TikTok, two videos alone created around 700,000 views, highlighting the potential of action-driven handball content on the platform.
During the competitions, participating nations had the possibility to receive clips of match situations. Through a dedicated distribution platform, the EHF supplied 118 content pieces to 16 national teams, giving them the opportunity to increase their own digital performance and reach, while simultaneously enlarging the ecosystem reporting on European youth handball beyond the EHF’s own channels.
