EHF Grassroots Convention 2024
Grassroots handball to take the stage alongside the Men's EHF EURO 2024
The EHF is excited to announce the launch of the very first EHF Grassroots Convention, to run alongside the Men’s EHF EURO 2024 in Munich next January.
Grassroots handball is the foundation for everything we do at the EHF, in the federations, and foremost in our clubs – that is why the EHF sees it as its most important objective to support all the people involved and develop it further so our kids can grow, have fun and bring the handball spirit into the world.
The convention will bring together people from all over Europe for a day all about the latest developments, initiatives and innovations around grassroots sports.
The one-day event takes place Sunday 14 January 2024 from 09:00 until 16:00 CET at the TU Munich, Campus im Olympiapark, Connollystrasse 32, 80809 Munich.
Additionally, there will be an exhibition and networking area, where companies and organisations will present their products and services. Check out what Benz or the Handballcampus Munich have in store for the future. This area will be open during the whole event.
Participants will also have the opportunity to buy match tickets for the Men’s EHF EURO 2024 group C matches in the evening (65€, CAT 2), where Montenegro face Iceland, while Serbia line up against Hungary.

Speakers
There is a long list of top experts and keynote speakers from within the handball world and beyond, covering coaching, education, safeguarding topics, presenting best practice cases and a lot more. Keynote speakers include:
- Folker Hellmund - Director of EOC EU Office
- Sergio Lara-Bercial - Co-founder of ICOACHKIDS, Professor of Sport Coaching at Leeds Beckett University and the VP for Strategy & Development at the International Council for Coaching Excellence
- Carlos Prieto - former world-class player and founder of Share & Play
- Vanessa Patucca-Bourgeais - EHF expert on kindergarten handball from the French National Federation
- Alex Gehrer – EHF beach handball expert
- Martin Goepfert - Member of the board of the German Handball Federation
- and various experts from leading national federations as well as from other sports federations like FIBA and UEFA presenting best practice cases

Information
- The registration fee is priced at €49
- The match ticket is €65. Men’s EHF EURO 2024 match ticket for 14 January 2024.
- Please note: The registration deadline is 18 December 2023.
How to register
- Submit the registration request HERE (note that each attendee must register separately).
- The information email for the payment via bank transfer will be sent directly after the registration request.
- Send a proof of payment back to the EHF within two weeks of registration.
- You will receive an email to confirm your registration.
