Job specification
- Planning, organizing, and implementing of major international sports events (including
workshops and draws) by running a schedule of events throughout the EHF Club
Competition season.
- Planning, implementing, and analyzing of event related marketing and communication
concepts to ensure growth in reach and engagement across all digital platforms.
- Developing and implementing of (VIP) ticket sale strategies for all major events to
attract existing customers and potential new partners.
- Identifying gaps in the events market by researching competitor events
- Produce clear and concise written correspondence in the form of letters, emails,
articles, and promotional material.
- Create a wide range of different marketing and presentation materials.
- Provide briefings/concepts and work closely with both internal and external partners.
- Identify and oversee the work of external suppliers.
Key competencies
- High interest in world’s biggest sports events, innovative developments, and potentials in this field
- Excellent communicational skills to position the major events in the sports market
- Customer and service-oriented mindset
- Detail- and solution-oriented way of working; hands-on mentality
- Good skills to work with MS office programs and in digital work processes
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German; other European languages useful
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Flexibility and ability to travel frequently and work according to the schedule of the EHF
Club Competitions
- Interest in and understanding of the sport of handball preferred
Key experiences
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of working in a similar event management position
- University degree in Marketing and/or Event Management is a strong advantage
- Experience in independently managing event projects
- Proven track of record of successful (ticket) sales
- Experience of working in an international environment, across different cultures and
languages
